Sometimes, the most effective way of reaching and teaching people is in a peer group context. Second, these ministries provide opportunities where people can express their relationship with Christ by loving and serving others. In John 13:1-17, Jesus set an example for us to follow when He served His disciples by washing their feet. In His own words we read, ".you should do (for each other) as I have done for you." Serving in a church ministry is one way we can tangibly show Christ's love to others.
